Get the Beautiful Smile You Deserve

Are you embarrassed about your smile due to discolored, chipped, or malformed teeth? Being ashamed about your smile takes away from what makes you unique and negatively impacts your confidence and self-esteem. Dental veneers in Woodbury, MN are a popular option for individuals that wish to restore damaged teeth and transform their smile. As long as your tooth structure and roots are intact, you’re a suitable candidate for dental veneers at Tamarack Hills Family Dentistry. A veneer is a thin shell made out of porcelain or a composite material that fits over your teeth. Keep in mind that if you have tooth decay or gum disease, this needs to be treated prior to getting veneers. Dr. Avi Matha offers beautiful customized porcelain and composite veneers to hide tooth imperfections such as chips, gaps, discoloration, or crookedness.

A Dazzling Solution to Improve Your Smile

By placing veneers over your teeth, we can close gaps, even out the length, cover dark stains, and create a more balanced smile. The shade of the veneer, along with its shape and size is created to match your surrounding teeth so it blends in perfectly. Veneers are also stain resistant, which keeps them dazzlingly white for a long time, even if you’re a coffee or tea drinker.

How We Restore Smiles with Custom Veneers

When you visit our Tamarack Hills Family Dentistry office, we start by taking digital impressions of your teeth so we can create the perfect veneer for you. Then we need to prepare your tooth by removing a portion of the enamel. This also helps the veneer lay flat in line with your gum tissue. After preparing your tooth, Dr. Avi Matha secures a temporary veneer using removable glue. While wearing this temp, it’s important to brush your teeth gently and avoid eating any foods that may push it out of place. When your permanent veneer is ready, you’ll return to our office and Dr. Matha will remove the temp and make sure the permanent one fits perfectly. If any adjustments are required, this is done prior to permanently bonding the veneer to your tooth. We recommend eating only soft foods for a few days. While veneers require a short recovery period, you’ll soon discover the trade-off is worth it when you look in the mirror and see your beautiful and dazzling pearly white smile!

FAQs

Veneers are generally safe when applied by a qualified dentist using high-quality materials. However, like any dental procedure, there are potential risks such as tooth sensitivity, gum irritation, or damage to the underlying tooth. It’s essential to consult with a trusted dental professional to assess your candidacy and discuss any concerns before proceeding with veneers. With proper care and maintenance, veneers can provide long-lasting aesthetic improvements to your smile.

Wondering if your insurance covers veneers? It depends on your specific policy. While some dental insurance plans may provide partial coverage for medically necessary veneers due to structural issues, most consider them a cosmetic procedure and do not cover the cost. However, it’s essential to check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage options accurately. At Tamarack Hills Family Dentistry, we can assist you in navigating your insurance benefits and exploring financing options for veneers.

Looking for alternatives to veneers? Consider dental bonding, which involves applying a tooth-colored resin to correct minor imperfections. Another option is dental crowns, which cover the entire tooth for more significant repairs. Orthodontic treatments like Invisalign can also improve tooth alignment without the need for veneers. Explore these alternatives with your dentist to find the best solution for your smile.

Veneers typically last between 10 to 15 years, but their lifespan can vary depending on factors such as oral hygiene, lifestyle habits, and the quality of materials used. Regular dental check-ups and proper maintenance, including gentle brushing and avoiding hard foods, can help extend the longevity of veneers. However, eventual replacement may be necessary due to wear or changes in oral health.
